Some restaurants defy description. Sure, we can say “we have great food and margaritas” and all that, but there’s really nothing like Blackbeard’s around. People come from all over, some driving hours, just to enjoy the food, fun and atmosphere at this unique institution. The storied building itself is architecturally challenged, painted bright purple for good measure. It’s inhabited by more than one ghost; just ask the ghosthunters who recorded them (we’ll give you their website when we see you). And then there’s the eclectic collection of rock ‘n roll memorabilia, signed photographs, guitars and albums and the area’s best acoustic guitar every night.
